The author knows he can't write a good story, so he crank the edginess to the max. He probably knows that he's getting the axe (yes, with the initial publisher, heard he found other sucker to continue but that's for another day) so you can see the pacing is on steroid, with powerscaling all over the place. Too bad, this could have been a decent guilty pleasure read.

I guess I have to eat my words a bit at how I said they didn't address "Master" and "Lover" correctly in the previous chapter since they explain it here, but I still think it was flubbed on how it was handled initially since it needed to be explicitly stated here, and "Lover" suddenly appeared instead of having always been present during the rewriting.

So, I had to take a break from this during the bullying chapters. Because it hit me personally, way too hard.
