Man, both the characters are so fleshed out. It is very brilliant.
Another thing I wanna point out is that the cover andany of it's artwork for this Volume had Yatoras friends on it but the story mostly focused on Yaguchi and the shorty. What IS actually to be the reason behind is that this set was Focus ng on friendship. Yatoras friends are not present in the plot much but they are the thing that had shaped him as much as his family and other surroundings. Also loved that bonus chapter with them.
The mangas character work for is so great that you almost feels so realistic.
The only person on surface level to be found as quite antagonistic is Nekobayashi sensei. But I actually find her a very deep and compelling character who has so many layers. She is just not made a deep focus and given multiple amounts of backstory just few hints of why Nekobayashi is how she is are incredible. And the end of an arc always leaves you to have your interpretation of things.
