I think this chapter just really introduced how the fights with god powers (and advanced tech too) will go in the future, if Dhala has some op tech that can best the godcurse, Kai will need to keep it in mind the temples and other things that empower each of the godcurses... if he didn't have the old man as a mount to amplify his "signal"... I think Shiera really would have wiped him out XD.
