    Nah this is just emotional manipulation and a threat of "disappearing". Magi has a fantastic version of forced pacification where you crush the enemies soul by eliminating any progress they make and dooming them into pacifism. The don't even get the chance to try fighting and die they are just in a forced look until they give up.
