In a world where the Han Empire never collapsed, martial arts have become a tool for exploitation. When a new continent is discovered, both virtuous and nefarious individuals flee there to escape the Emperor's tyranny, ushering in an era reminiscent of a Martial Wild West.
In this chaotic frontier, Zhang Qian finds himself reincarnated from our comfortable, modern existence into a reality starkly different from the fantastical worlds he read about in martial arts novels. While the martial arts in his new environment are potent, they lack refinement and grace. Driven by a vision, Qian embarks on a journey across the continent with the dream of reintroducing true martial arts to this realm.

Excellent series for fans of the murim genre who want something different/original.
This is an isekai story, but done very well - MC transplanted from the modern-day to a murim/wild west mash-up world, where he essentially takes the role of a ronin/wandering lone cowboy. MC is mature and introspective - no face-slapping/young masters here. Given it is a murim story, he is also strong but crucially without feeling edgy or overpowered.
Almost every character is well-written and multi-dimensional, populating a realistic, flawed world. Most have hidden agendas and and are much deeper than what appears on the surface - seeming friends and foes likewise. Similarly, none of them are truly good or evil, but nuanced shades of grey.
Artwork is excellent, a unique art style that lends itself well to the wild-west and murim elements equally well and combines them with panache.
Strongly recommended for those who are tired of the same old murim stories as a unique, well-executed take on the genre.
