Reviewed @ch10
I've only read 10 of the 13 available chapters and I just have to comment here and enthusiastically recommend it already
This has everything. It has humour, it has adventure, it has a savvy, but not overly so, protagonist. She's wonderful and kind and thoughtful but still makes mistakes.
The tone of the story is so bright and light and there's frequent jokes that made me laugh out loud. I've smiled so much!
And the art, wow it is beautiful. It's reminiscent of the art you'd see in the gamebooks of JRPGs in the 90s and such.
I came across this because I read a chapter of This Irreplaceable Hell, 'The Fourth Heroine', and was really impressed and intrigued. But this is great in a whole other way, it's delightful!
I was really surprised that at only 2 volumes fan translated, this series is already licensed with an official release of volume 1 later this month! (Jan 28, 2025) But I can easily see what made them take the chance. It's great series so far. I hope it continues. I'm just a little worried because it seems the release schedule is only a few chapters a year?
Each chapter is substantially short. Short, but packed with content. It has an interesting starting point and has consistently been intriguing for me. So...
Give it a read. It's pretty short.
Acchi Ai is known for her often quirky stories where in some instances characters in stories know they're in a story and try to navigate it with that knowledge. This one is not quite like this, MC (girl) finding basically the Book of Everything, containing all information about their world (perhaps Stazi dropped it, dunno).
Overall, an interesting take on the whole fantasy isekai whatever setting we've been flooded with lately.
I admit this manga has potential, but at chapter 1 at time of writing this (i admit, i'm writing it more because I'm excited to have found another Acchi Ai manga than to leave a review) it's still too early to say. The art style is warm and "classic", giving a much older feel (say mid 2000s or even 90) which is both nostalgic and welcome. Characters are also designed in a more classic old fashioned way.
I look forward to reading where the story will develop.
