There has long been strife between the 'Humas', the 'Gabranth', and the 'Evila' races. To counter the threat of the 'Evila' race's Demon King, the kingdom calls upon five high school students from 21st century Japan, each endowed with the powers of Heroes. However, only four of these students possess the status title of 'Hero'. Okamura Hiiro was inadvertently summoned because he sat near the other four in class. Unlike them, he did not carry the title of 'Hero'; instead, he held the titles of 'Word Master' and 'Innocent Bystander'. Recognizing the deception and madness of the 'Humas' kingdom, Hiiro resolves not to involve himself in their self-serving war. Leaving the castle behind, he joins the Adventurer's Guild, choosing to follow his own path. Perhaps there is some value in being a 'Word Master' and an 'Innocent Bystander'. Who knows what lies ahead?
