the only thing i dont like is when it focus's on crap i don't care about. like i dont need to see the police "discussing" their thoughts on hypothetical questions like what's solitaire's goal and stuff like that. i dont find it all bad but when theres a full chapter on it with a sliver that advances the plot it's annoying

I don't know why some are complaining about the chapters given for world building. Sure, it is a flashback. But didn't you want to know what happened in the past? This enriches the story, It's a fine way to do exposition and really helps with the "Humanization" of a character that was instantly put into their place.
A very important thing to look out for here is that Zypher wanted to lock Down Mutt (a.k.a Aedi) the moment he appeared to curb the progression of what was likely the main factor for the demise of the world at the end.
