    One more thing man in black as Satoru said it that "the old me would have tampered with fye", which implies that they can do it and probably have done it in the past. This makes me think they are the God of this universe, with all it's creation, including souls.

    Another question I had is "Why did man in black do all of this?". And my conclusion is that they were lonely. A being drifting in an empty void. And they wanted to have some fun, for a change. Eventually, they knew they would get bored, so they made Fushi. Fushi would become the new God and eventually, the cycle would repeat.
