Honestly, I think this stayed pretty great throughout, the first few arcs were definitely more strategic in story telling and felt extremely intense in comparison to the second half, but is 100% worth a read if the first few chapters get you. It is rare nowadays to have a series that is clearly planned out and calculated from start to finish that is still filled with twists and turns. It didn't go any longer or shorter than it needed to. A lot of the hardcore fans of the series just wanted a complete nightmare-fuel experience, which it still is, it just doesn't keep ramping up the horror and gore as it goes on.

Ahh i finished Tokyo Ghoul season 1(anime) awhile ago and was extremely disappointed I decided not to watch anymore. Once I read the manga I felt like my life was fulfilled it was absolutely breathtaking. I believe this is where Haise comes in so I can’t wait!
