He became a symbol of light and hope. Something religion can do, or, simply believing in a higher power. "Religious propaganda" is a bit of an over exaggeration in my opinion. Those ideas have been there since the first chapter. Something about them resonated with you if you've made it this far. But try not to let those ideas, even if you disagree with them, ruin the entire manwha for you.
