    @mokkon I think that initially the regressor was just a normal person, the fact that he went through that hell allowed him to become a "hero", therefore "useful" . The first variant of the protagonist explain that somehow he managed to follow a path similar to the one we see now, only that he went through more difficulties and did not form connection with the rest of the characters seeing them only as a tool, I'm not saying it's too different now but at least he forced himself to keep some humanity

    To anyone reading it. I can't believe it but it gets better. I was insanely annoyed at this manga and dropped it after 3 chapters. But later chapters really do get better. especially Medusa & Dryad arc is just hilarious.
