That said I originally felt bad for Touya. His crush pretty much abandoned him (Manipulated by this sociopath), he ended up being rejected after saving her, his best friend is kind of a cunt, no one believed for him during the most intense times, etc.
I used to think that maybe Yoh could give him a chance or something like that but after how this series ended yeah screw that I'm so happy Touya didn't end up with her. Sadly the other chick is annoying AF and their relationship during the ending is build up as she's just some leftover for him, kind of messed up but what can you do with such a rushed ending-tie in chapter.
This is a bit of a weird read for me because there's no real story or any sense of proggresion really, things just happen and there's sometimes call backs or favors for other things. All that considered I still kept reading somehow, normally I'd drop this within ~10 chaps.
It might not have some of the heights that the main story had, but the story as a whole, I thought was better within itself. It stuck within it's lines and never strayed. Stayed consistent from beginning to end.
Excellent writing.
