    I think Jarl Estrid Haakon is more based on real life than most of the characters in the Vinland Saga. There's no such thing as pure white-male Vikings during the early middle age. I believe that most of them were diverse, ranging from gender to skin color. Jarl Estrid Haakon is the perfect example of a powerful female African Viking that ever existed. I wish they created more on her than most of the generic white male Vikings.
