    Odd decision to have all that build up, all that tension, only for the actual result of the fight to barely matter at all. Doesn't really show anyone being that upset about it, nothing of value was lost, and it turns out the villain did exactly what the heroes were planning to do anyways? I even think the climactic defeat is an interesting and underutilized trope, this is just a wack ass way of using it.
