Hmmm... the president was worried for his pair, maybe he just didn't want them being lost as they are a strong pair, but as he was anticipating his death, and by the looks of it becoming a stray is a pretty sad deal for a pair, I am inclined to believe his worry is based on friendship.

Tadera-father still a mystery... he helped Yuru's parents escape, and I doubt a player of his caliber wouldn't have understood what was happening, but he clearly stated that he is Higashi's ally... sure that doesn't mean he really is, as he was awol even for them, but his intentions are still very much a mystery.

I do hope he is an ally... a guy with his level of practical skills, knowledge, and street smarts would be a pain to deal with, and that is just what we saw in this chapter.

The adventurer riot demanding a ship seems... really stupid. They were asked to assist in the locust request, they were not commanded or otherwise forced to, they were literally just whining because a job came up that they didn't want... something that would likely occur every single day in the hall (we already saw adventurers declining rat slaying quests early on) and their plan was to DEMAND a ship be made for them. I'm not sure if the author is unaware that even a small open-sea ship would take at least six months, but their demand for a half year of labor for free is amazingly stupid, considering that is six straight months of committing a crime and expecting no punishment.
