You might not like the art or the protagonist (which is kind of a d*ck), but the concept is outstanding.  Incredible worldbuilding.  This author easily rivals Chuya Koyama (Space Brothers), Shinji Kajio (Forget-Me-Not, Emanon) and Yuki Urushibara (Mushishi) on science fiction manga, don’t pass on him if you like imaginative, intriguing concepts.  

Manga about Okinawa is always that kind, paradisiac stuff.  This Okinawa is as complex and mysterious as Hong Kong… not the usual Dr. Coto settings and narrative.  It’s f*cking brilliant, immersive.  It’s worth the reading.
