However, he has a significant drawback: he performs terribly in official events such as university interviews. To tackle his social awkwardness, he immerses himself in the virtual reality game Trikia. There, he encounters Nine, an eccentric high-level undead who becomes his future guild master.

It's the perfect mixture. A great mystery, the build up, fantastic side characters. You spend just enough time with them to care.
There's a lot of subtle humor and slapstick comedy, but exactly the right amount.
And the villain has this creepy atmosphere... and it's spreading.
Up to ch. 27 I'd give it a strong recommendation and at least a 7.5/10.
Art could be stronger, some dialogue could be crisper and the MC could have at least one edge, but it's terrific so far.
