unfortunately thats how most mid romance anime or manga are the dude has literally no self worth or meaning just a fuckin nobody so people can just imagine themselves as him. this is why kaguya sama is the goat
At least the MC finally gotten use to dying... I really really hope MC will do better judgement next time, other resurrection manga that's good but also pisses me off is "Only I Know the World Is Ending and Getting Killed by Rampaging Beasts Only Makes Me Stronger" because he told his harem about his trump cards...
They could still help maintain the balance as conservation officers of sorts. Keep tabs on the numbers so neither prey nor predator overpopulate or go extinct. Of course, they don't have to do this either, but just letting things play out naturally isn't always the best way to take care of the forest. Like I'm sure if a hoard of goblins start torching the place, they're not gonna throw their hands up and say that's life, it is what it is.
