It is clear that many things are toned down /changed to be more dramatic because of the format and some translations are awful (I recommend trying different translations).
But overall the story itself is interesting ,the plot isn't too predictable and if full with of action and comedy .
The story goes quite downhill after they reach the seagod island, it's a bit too dramatic and they overextend some stuff (I preferred how the training with his father went in the novel). But I do hope they manage correct the novels flaws after that ark .

I wasn't actually gonna read this but I disagree with it being bad .I don't normally read much manhu but it's good . I actually like the innocent romance, action, and the little hint of comedy. I don't know if it's because I didn't read the novel or because I am a fan of innocent love but it's so good to me.
This is just a generic manhua/manwha or whatever the f it is, I actually liked the beginning, but it just kept derailing and I don't even know what's going on, it's like watching 5 movies at the same time. The female lead was good I liked her but they just threw her to side, and barely ever see her and just serves as a Mary Sue that's just extremely powerful because plot. The concept is simple if you have read any other manhua/manwha etc. with a similar plot chances are you know where this will go. MC starts weak > Gets strong from some BS > Any female that comes into contact with him automatically likes him > Random BS powerups every chapter and so on. The names I can't even remember everybody just shares the same thing with one thing changed
As most seam to agree, this is bad and having a terrible translation doesn't help either, still, there is so much nonsense going on with no meaning and no kind of explanation, you are supposed to take all this spirit basquash as something transcendental and think it's amazing "oh he is a spiritual king bla bla" or "oh he can withstand 40 levels of presure, ohh!!" HUH? should that mean something to me? Maybe there is something about Korean culture I'm not familiar with?. In any case, give me a background, explain me what the hell you are talking me about, give me some idea of scaling and then we can talk, as it is it all amounts to nothing.

Guys really, if it is already complete then whats the hold up on the translation? I love this and am getting confused with the storylines of this and the sequel. I really wanna see the rest.
Horrible writing with many stale moments. The dialogue is just bad and it makes it so that you have no idea what the fuck is going on. Also as I said before the writing will lead to stale moments where absolutely nothing is happening.
This manhua is an insult to the novel and I am morbidly amazed that the author is willing to butcher his own magnum opus into this abomination...
Let me give you an example of what it's like to read this manhua if it was the original Star Wars trilogy:
"A long time ago in a galaxy far far away...Luke Skywalker goes to death star and saves Princess Leia...Insert flashback of dead aunt and uncle...Obi Wan gets killed...Luke blows up death star with rest of rebel fighters...Han Solo tortured by Darth Vader insert flash back of how Luke first met Han Solo who immediately tells Luke "I am your father"...Endor and ewoks and shit...lasers...Vader chucks Emperor down pit...second death star goes boom...end."
Sounds horribly disjointed and lacking in plot coherence? Reading this manhua feels just like that, you constantly wonder "wtf just happened? Who the hell is this guy? A jungle? We were just in a dojo one page ago! WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING?!"
Avoid this shit like the plague, even if you're desperate to find out more plot from where the latest novel translation chapter ended, because you won't find it here.
As people have mentioned before, the manhua butchered the story the light novel has. Basically the only thing good about this, is the art. Please stop reading this, go read the light novel, it is so much better.
