Enjoyed this manhwa much more than I have many others of the same genre and the romance is SO sweet and builds up very nicely. They weren’t attracted to each other out of nowhere in explicable “love at first sight” and slowly got accustomed to each other until it culminated in a complete passionate devotion to each other. Maybe a little concerning that he was willing to
Which is another thing to point out that although Selina should have been more distraught and not have adapted easily, she acknowledged all the things in her previous world that were too difficult for her to give up on. Much more realistic than all the times these women forget their entire existence in their previous worlds to live in this new one.
But yes, their relationship was definitely the best thing about this story. I could truly feel their emotions and understand them. Amazingly well done.
If I were to have complaints, and well, I do, it would be that Selina is a nice character that I liked a lot, but she was too perfect as well. Astoundingly good at everything she does. Makes for a weak spot in both character and plot because everything happens so smoothly. The plot too isn’t this manhwa’s strength because while I did enjoy the mystery aspect of finding out the culprit, other areas were just weak. Truthfully, my higher rating comes from the fact that this manhwa does things right in comparison to others, but not because its story is that well done.
My last complaint is the utter lack of comprehension of politics and the justice system.
I still recommend tho. This isn’t the most enlightening or thoughtful genre, though I would love dearly anything that proved that claim false, so considering that this is a decent read. And art is also incredible all the way through. Very much appreciated that.
Still in the beginning part of the manhwa. Generally, Tapas versions of these webtoons or Korean comics are mostly good and some are really high quality... But I don't know which kid translates every chuckle or little laugh (haha) to a "LOL".
Guess it is irking me because I am not used to the younger generation's slang, or that is what I am chalking it up to.
Just look at I'll Master This Family or The Villainess is a Marionette... You'll get what I mean. The characters are not little GenAlpha shits nor is the setting in contemporary modern times to require such lingo in their dialogues...
But what do I know.🤷♂️
And unique FL. And their relationship isn't sudden or boring, of course everyone know that they will be together, but I like how it was slowly built.
really enjoyed it on the first season.
interesting conflict they presented, but the resolution was quite anti-climatic for me.
fairly good ending, but i rated it from 9 to 8..
i love their interactions and Calcal is so sweet.
the little details are quite unique (their dialogues, the characterization, the problem), but if you see it as a whole you might find it generic.
DNF. I tried so hard to connect with the characters, but I constantly felt there's no connection between the main leads. Also, the politics of a historical setting wasn't explored at all. Every character behaves like a child who constantly feel like they're really amazing whilst doing absolutely NOTHING.
Having an actress be the MC is a new one. I don't mind ML falling in love this quickly.
The art is very pretty and the plot doesn't drag on.
I like the romance and the banter, and I love that I can see the main couple interact and not let it be done off screen. It's a fun and enjoyable read.
This story is honestly driven by the female lead she is the reason i keep reading. That and the art. The dresses for once don't look st*pid. I like that she is in her original body instead of all the transmigration stuff that have been plaguing the genre.
Also I disagree with the review below calling FL dense. It was refreshing actually how she seemed pretty in tune with romance and pretty assertive. She also realizes on her own that the ML is in love with her before the ML even realized it.
Totally good! Didn't expect it would be this refreshing. The art, the plot, the characters.. gahh.. I AM ENCHANTED ❤️
