Chaebol 101 how to navigate through crooks, embezzlement money, slush funds, etc.
Unlike other Korean office work drama, it's not about the intrapersonal relationships. But mostly how to be an "acumen" at business.
Unfortunately it's feeling mostly "realistic" aka dry as how the events progress more or less seamlessly save for a funny moments (which is more or less dramatized). It would have been more to my liking if it was directed that way but this is a "self insert for dry, old people" whip are no-nonsense about anything but business deals. If it doesn't fit your idea of a fantasy, it can get old.
Pros
Feels More or less accurate in how business deals work in a textbook sense.
Cons
It feels like reading a Wikipedia entry or a company history records with visual aids. Except that it is easy way longer and almost everyone acts like compartmentalized "professional" robots. I guess working in corporate for so long made weeded out the surface emotional ones and now we've got a bunch of characters like they are made by cookie cutters / mold. It can get exhausting if you wanna find something fun to read and business deals and occasionally using underhanded tactics to get the money ain't your idea of fun.
Personally, I find it more enjoyable reading about companies in a 10-30 minutes YouTube video presentation format than this. This company feels too clinical, bureaucratic, to have any chance of a chaotic fun.
Tldr low stakes all around after the initial antagonist "defeated" because this company is in nowhere to be in danger. It is 95% company shenanigans about their dealings and 5% character interactions that's not about that. Even so, that 5% feels very more like less propaganda how to be a filial son or some Confucius bootlicking than actual character rapport not feeling like it's born organically and not part of the standard korean manhwa checklist.
It is not much about "exposing the ugliness" of office politics you can find in other series like Medical Return or Tax Reaper, nor is it chaotic like "Silicone Valley". But lacks the prowess of "House of Cards". It is more like a standard isekai returner veteran because he's not truly an underdog. The author ain't going all in embracing chaos or funnies but it's more like for people to self-insert as a successful man.
