    Yabe is still kinda sus, waiting rightful the 20th birthday. I mean, I get that what they're doing isn't illegal, bit as was brought up many times in the manga, it's morally questionable. I'd have preferred it if they were actually completely platonic, and then found each other again a while after school, bit I suppose that doesn't fit the gal vibes.

    In an ideal world, Nagisa would've won, but she suffered from the same syndrome as the childhood friend: she had all those years to make a move, and didn't seal the deal, only getting serious when she had rivals. I understand that Yabe was dense af, but he also thought Nagisa was out of his league, so she should've been the one to make the move.

    But why would he ever do that? Unless he was going to give them life sentences or execute them right after there's no reason for him to do it.

    Plus at this point they've developed completely different/new personalities and relationships, there's no point in turning them back. Their original versions were punished and consciously killed off, as far as I'm concerned. It's only their bodies that are left for Keyarus selfish satisfaction, if he wasn't attracted to them I'm sure he would've immediately killed them.
