First Couple were superb - 2nd Couple were also superb while the story was not focussed on them.
It made no sense for a random dude to become love rival just because. Also, It made me hate Bora's character.
First Half - 8/10Second half - 4/10
The first arc was good. They were cute and I actually thought it was pretty realistic that Jiwoon felt that she couldn’t let go of the first dude and then kinda forgot about him quickly and started liking the other dude (I don’t think they ever talk about her previous crush, even though he knew she liked him instead at the time so that’s wild to me??). Crushes can be fleeting like that. I’m the same way… but here it was also explained the difference in why she really liked the second guy as opposed to the first.
The second story was ummm not as well done. I got bored with the drama and kinda dropped it immediately even though I actually really liked Bora and what’s-his-face. I also really felt excited for Dajin and her introduction, but felt that when she started falling for whatever-his-name-is that her character arc started derailing. Honestly, even if well-done, I hate the pathetic unrequited love trope. Especially when there isn’t much of a good reason that they should like that person in the first place. When the OTHER other love rival suddenly came into the picture to randomly fall in love with Bora and get his heart broken, that was when I said enough.
Why can I only remember the girls’ names.
I really enjoyed the first couple story and how they flow. The second couple kind of put it off for me.
Your typical cute shoujo webtoon. I feel a bit too old reading high school romance with all the exaggerated and “funny” moments that I’ve kinda outgrown now, but I’m sure the proper audience would appreciate it more than me. 🤣
The side characters are great too, and once the main leads get together, the story moves on to spotlight the 2nd leads. At times I feel it’s getting draggy, but again, the right audience would like it (and the 2nd leads are likeable anyway!).
I typically don’t write reviews til I’m done reading the whole series, but I think my rating would stay the same until the end (unless something drastic changes…). I love the art and this is something lighthearted to pass time with. 🤭
