    4: the ring. why was it never mentioned before? it could've been brought up in chapter 1 alongside the sword of akashia. makes no sense not to bring it for confronting a witch. aside from that, it was used terribly. first as a prank, but then to not remove the thing before calling out a potentially dangerous person (miralys) in front of many people.

    talk about relying on the idiot ball trope to create conflict.
