NIGHT SCANS Chapter 1-6

I didn't realize it wasn't supposed to have a system or anything going into it, must have missed that in the description. The premise isn't bad, but the execution is a bit too dark and slow feeling for my tastes. I tend to like the more realistic takes on the apocalypse genre, but find this one is a bit unbalanced due to a lack of anything to make things more interesting. Even without a system or magic of any kind to even the odds, there should be something to make it interesting, but there's no comic relief, there's not a strategic psychopath lead, and there's no resource stockpiling. It's just a ML who attempted to unalive himself and then takes risks with his life that he supposedly now cherishes to save people he has no reason to care about with mundane means. I don't necessarily think the story is poorly written, just perhaps not for me.
The plot twist at chapter 11 is peak. Hope it maintains it's greatness.
