It's not engaging. In fact, what the MC says about another character's rap/hip-hop attempts as being like a melted sandcastle is exactly what I feel about this story as a whole.
It has good parts that I immediately forget because the entire thing doesn't let the good parts build and become cohesive.
MC is also weirdly unlikable.
Art is gorgeous but it's too sparkly, too distracting. Transitions between action and non-action parts are okay but when it comes to focusing on a single character...it's not good.
Also, half the time I have no idea who's talking. There's no spike on the speech bubble that's pointing at a character to indicate who's talking. Worse these orphan speech bubbles are often imposed on two or more characters so I can't even make an educated guess about who's talking.
A fantastic read that doesn't focus on the relationship between old/young but instead an incredibly engrossing corporate environment, all I can say is wow, I did not expect to binge this but here we are. Also as a character, I love how he isn't oblivious to things are quite literally all of his actions are explained, as this was a first for me, I thoroughly enjoyed that his character wasn't some laid out "cool" guy where everything works out in the end. I highly recommend

if the king didn't make the child why would he leave it alone
am I missing/forgetting something
