The story is still in progress so I might change my rating later. For now it’s very intriguing. It’s working with a very overused trope, but it’s exploring the story and characters in a fresh and original way. A lot of care was put into bringing to life their relationships, character essences and even past trauma. Tower/system stories seldom try and succeed that well, they usually just focus on the power fantasy aspect.
That being said, there are a lot of utterly HORRIBLE so-called translations of this around. I suspect that some of the negative reviews here are from people that have lost their brain cells trying to read them. Read it in good quality, Tapas has started an official translation now, otherwise don’t blame the work on not being able to understand a thing.
read to ch39, the story is so trash...
The storytelling is not very clear or organized, leaving much to be desired. The dialog is also a bit stilted and uses wordplay and references that are difficult to adapt to English. I read the scanlation provided by Speedcat, who did an admirable job with research and translation notes.
The MC is quite unlikeable so far, but she is most definitely evolving as a person!
Now, 30+ chapters in, the story has found a better flow, but it still feels like it's in the beginning setup phase. Not too much happening regarding plot has been revealed. I'm assuming the plot will revolve around preventing some catastrophe that only the regressor character knows about.
I love that the 3 siblings are siscons/brocons for each other.
My biggest take away is that all the men look like they'd feature in a spicy BL.
The story premise, execution, and art aren't bad, but the story progresses very slowly. It's also confusing at times and I can't tell who the MC's current guardian is. The story has flashbacks and jumps around a bit to offer backstory, but there isn't a super cohesive story yet. Hopefully that will improve after more chapters are released.
This Is actually a really good manhwa when a low quality translation group translated it I had no idea what was going on but another group picked it up and is translating phenomenally
The story itself is so interesting, it follows the life of a lazy ji oh or Jo who got chosen by an aspect or constellation that’s why she’s super powerful according to the novel
