    Personally, war is just a background here.  As Lt. Colonel Dave Grossman observed in his book "On Killing", there are three types of people on every major conflict: the "sheep", the "sheepdog", and the "wolf".

    What makes this isekai interesting is the wolf.  While this isn't new (Youjo Senki did it before), Highserk's protagonist isn't the usual villainous psychopath of lesser works of fiction.  For me, the keyword is "salaryman".  It seems the author has a saying about modern Japanese society (and soon different points-of-view among Japanese characters will clash).
