well i wouldn't say its very minor if it was written into the story such that when he sighs you know something big is about to happen. thats actually big in fact, because it would be him sighing and then it should focus on him signalling the reader that shit is about to go down. It's like character music before an important battle, you will always know something is going down if you hear ichigo's theme or naruto's theme or whoever, right before or during an important moment.
