This festival arc is literally two whole volumes of the light novel. If it serves as consolation, there's a mini tournament arc at the end

Simple, short and sweet. It's a series that deals more with real life problems (social isolation, lack of self confidence, etc) rather than fantasy ones, but a nice change of pace from most of the other villainess series despite being generic. Definitely worth reading if you want an otome story that's a little fluffy and more grounded in its conflicts and character relationships.

True. I feel like if it had more chapters to further explain in depth and do actual character development and not do shit like time skips and offscreens it would have turned into a really good story. But well whatever, rn i am following his other work "Blood on the tracks" in hope that it would be a better story
