    Fruits Basket is, in my opinion, the greatest modern shoujo. I remember going to Borders Bookstore to buy the new volumes as they were being translated. It's got comedy, melodrama, and a slow-burn romance that's to die for. What's not to love? I come back to it every few years to laugh and cry. As far as I'm concerned, it's part of the canon of must-read manga. If you read manga at all, you should read Fruits Basket.
