This series embodies all the worst qualities of a shounen jump manga. It's like jjk in that it jumps all over the place without giving anything time to breathe. How serious a plot line is treated is however serious the author wanted to be this week. That coupled with the incoherent power levels makes it feel like the author just doesn't give a flying fuck. It feels very fairy tail esque in that arbitrary power levels based on friendship ig mean no battle can meaningfully feel like it has stakes. This would be completely fine if the manga wasn't as focused on the fighting. Apart from that, teenagers being elite level assassins that can physically outperform the adults in the story is just goofy. It also just has a lot of characters in its A cast that are undeveloped. And that's what I mean when I say it is the worst qualities of sj manga embodied; it just has the same flaws that are symptoms of an average writer paired with shounen jumps excitement churning editorial system.
