In a small ordinary town with little diversity, Tete is a young boy whose peaceful life is confined to school, the library, and his humble home. On a seemingly typical day, Tete meets a homeless girl named Geeta Ronpelti, and they quickly become friends. Geeta reveals that her parents were archaeologists who researched a clan possessing the ability to revive the dead. Threatened to halt their research, Geeta's parents were murdered shortly after she fled.

All by herself, Geeta now travels from place to place with an enigmatic watch given by her mother. Believing he is someone she could trust, Geeta tells Tete to hold on to it until she returns. Later that night, he hears Geeta's voice despite being unable to see her and soon finds a man carrying her corpse. When the man demands that Tete hand over the watch, an elderly, mysterious individual overpowers the stranger and forces him to retreat.

Although taken aback, Tete follows the individual with Geeta's corpse, as he may be the most vital piece for solving this bizarre puzzle.
