Interested in a quick 24-chapter show that'll make you laugh and throw some delightful romance your way? Look no further than Lilim Kiss. The plot isn't overly complex or intricate, but it's just engaging enough to keep you hooked.
Story
We follow a vampire-like girl who has the ability to drain people's life-force through kisses. She meets a guy, he's pretty awesome, and cue a series of humorous and ironic situations. :D
Art
The artwork features very sexy women. No complaints here.
Character
Characters are somewhat cliché, but nothing too annoying. None of them do anything so foolish that you end up hating them.
Enjoyment
It's quite funny at times, with a few moments of sadness sprinkled in. However, it's definitely more on the happy side, so no worries about feeling down after watching.
Overall
If you're looking for a short ecchi, comedy, romance show, give Lilim Kiss a shot. You won't be disappointed.
I found this manga quite touching. It essentially depicts the emotional development of a sex-based species, specifically a succubus, and how she comes to have feelings for the main character.
What might be considered "ecchi" scenes are no more intense than the "kiss" scenes from Rosario + Vampire—nothing excessive—and the most risqué moments involve just some exposed cleavage.
The most disheartening aspect is the uncertainty of when she will emerge from the bottle again and discovering Lilim's past engagements. Overall, it’s a pleasant quick read with a good plot that avoids being overly stereotypical.
Lilim Kiss is a fantastic short manga consisting of 24 chapters, created by Mizuki Kawashita, the same mangaka behind Ichigo 100%. This manga has several strengths, including excellent artwork and appealing characters.
Story: While Lilim Kiss doesn't boast the most intricate plot ever, it remains highly enjoyable. Unlike many of Mizuki Kawashita's other works, this manga stands out as it revolves around high school romance but with a twist—the main character is a demon. This introduces fantasy elements reminiscent of Ah My Goddess! Such an approach adds a fresh dimension to Kawashita’s repertoire, which is quite refreshing.
Art: The art in this manga meets my expectations from Kawashita. It closely resembles her other works like Ichigo 100% and Hatsukoi Limited, which is a positive aspect given the quality of her previous illustrations. Additionally, there is ample fan service throughout the manga.
Character: Although the characters aren’t deeply complex, they are still likable. I particularly enjoyed the protagonist Lilim, who feels like the antithesis of Belldandy from Ah My Goddess. Visually, she also shares similarities with Toujo Aya from Ichigo 100%. With only 24 chapters, there isn't much room for extensive character development or background exploration.
Enjoyment: Despite its brevity, this manga is incredibly fun. Its short length prevents any dull moments, ensuring that each chapter is enjoyable. Personally, I found every single one engaging.
Overall: Featuring superb artwork and charming characters, Lilim Kiss is a must-read for any Mizuki Kawashita fan. The inclusion of fantasy elements sets it apart from her other works. Even though it is short, it remains thoroughly enjoyable, making all 24 chapters worth reading.
