I'm sad how much I agree, the pacing is killing me and I can count the number of likeable humans on one hand. I miss directly battling the constellations. It's not even the humans being usually bad people, it's that they're ultimately boring. They bring nothing to the table in terms of both obstacles or support and they're for the most part all flat and static, which causes Choi to stop developing as well.
nop, janitor are limited and they aren't carrying as much as human in a few days, and the humans survivors just keep increasing their essences, plus, human aren't attacking you immediately so you can kill them without needing to fight. If we don't take in account the fact that "killing is wrong", then it's the best way
