Yeah, any loser character with a charm-eye ability is an automatic red flag. I like a lot of other things about this story, namely, Makoto, Tomoe, and Mio, but then characters like Tomoki, Root, Sofia, Rokuya, and Aznoval exist. Oh, and Haruka Okasabe. After those last three, I've lost all motivation to continue reading the WN. The fact that Tomoki is somehow still relevant is also annoying. He's like Kylo Ren; not a good antagonist in any real capacity because he's not imposing at all. Just a whiny baby that takes advantage of unearned power.
