    Oota swears because he is a deliquent, the boys do it because they are boys, and Tabuchi does it just because she hates Oota, but Kashiwada never does and the only cussing that goes too far I think is when they are talking with their family members. The word "fuck" doesn't exit in japanese the same way it does in english, so the translation for sure is too exaggerated in that regard, but if the author used to many "shits" and "shitty" in his story then milding it down wouldn't be that great either.
