Kinnikuman

Kinnikuman, also known as Kinniku Suguru, is a superhero—or Choujin—with a less-than-impressive reputation. He is cowardly, clumsy, and often described as moronic, with a particular fondness for gyuudon. Despite these traits, he is the prince of an alien planet. Beneath his unimpressive exterior, Suguru possesses a strong sense of honor and can summon immense power when necessary. Alongside his sidekick Meat-kun and fellow Choujin Terryman and Ramenman, Suguru strives to become the greatest Choujin on Earth. By leveraging tremendous heart and stamina (The Burning Inner Strength) or the "Power of Friendship," Kinnikuman frequently overcomes villains far more powerful than himself, often converting them into allies. Though he may seem destined to remain an idiot forever, Kinnikuman gradually becomes a worthy hero. Note: There is a 22-year gap between the publication of volumes 36 and 37. From volume 38 onwards, the series restarted in 2011. Kinnikuman won the 30th Shogakukan Manga Award for best children's manga in 1984. In Spain, it was published in Catalan as Musculman by Glénat from November 2006 to June 2008.
