God.. I want to read the LN so bad but fucking Aphantasia makes reading LNs a lot less enjoyable than they should be.

Well, you resumed why i basically stopped reading in Modern Era. And yeh, at first they putted good conviction around the drama, the fragility of life... Then it became meaningless when Fushi resurrected them. I have no problem with that, but i think it cancels too much everything from first part.

The drama became unbalanced. It lost stakes. And the slice of life part from Modern Era don't really fit with the vibe of first part that made me invested in the manga.

I hope the last part will be intriguing at least.

I don't like that the cliche of the childhood friend becoming obsessive and controlling is hand-waved by demons/magic, it makes it awfully black&white and shallow when it would be a lot more interesting if those feelings grew naturally. Jealousy and obsessiveness like that happens in the real world too afterall
