This one ranks among my favorite manga. Why, you ask?
First off, I'm a fan of Yamagata Satomi's artwork. It's exceptionally clean and somewhat reminiscent of Sumomo Yumeka's style but with more defined, bolder strokes. Admittedly, her depiction of the uke and seme follows a somewhat traditional approach, yet it remains far superior to average.
Kanjo Kairo / Manic Love is a delightful read. It's worth noting that it's intended for mature readers not due to explicit content, but rather because of the profound manner in which Yamagata Satomi explores the characters' relationships.
The manga captures the simplicity and complexity of liking someone remarkably well. It showcases both the physical and personal connections within relationships, be they romantic or platonic.
All the characters are beautifully developed. Even Ogawa, a supporting character, is portrayed so vividly that he became my favorite!
Romantic, mature, and meaningful—this yaoi manga proves that quality can indeed exist within the genre.
