Kamen Rider Spirits

Taki Kazuya, an Interpol agent based in New York City, is currently investigating a series of mysterious disappearances and murders that appear to be the work of an inhuman entity. He often recounts tales of his friend, Kamen Rider, a cyborg hero who, years ago in Japan, dismantled the nefarious organization Shocker. Kamen Rider saved countless people from monstrous threats without ever seeking recognition or reward. Only a group of orphans he has befriended believe these stories. When one of the orphans transforms into a monster, Taki tracks down the creature responsible and attempts to fight it while donning his own costume, proclaiming himself a new Kamen Rider. However, he struggles against the creature and nearly meets his end. Just in time, Takeshi Hongo, the original Kamen Rider, arrives to save him. Inspired by Hongo's arrival, Taki joins forces with him, and together they manage to defeat the creatures. After the battle, Hongo informs Taki of a new threat rising against humanity and asks for his assistance before setting out to gather more allies—the eight other Kamen Riders he once fought alongside. Taki continues his work with Interpol while aiding Hongo's search for allies. "Kamen Rider Spirits" is a sequel to many entries in the tokusatsu franchise "Kamen Rider," uniting characters from the first seven installments. Originally serialized in "Magazine Z," the story continued in "Monthly Shonen Magazine" as "Shin Kamen Rider Spirits" after the magazine ceased publication. It holds the record for the longest-running manga based on a tokusatsu show.
