Iunno. It feels like everyone seems to *like* who they are this time, and I think that's what Fuuko's real goal was. Sure, she wanted to give them all a good end, but a lot of the loop we saw...there was a *LOT* of self-loathing. I think seeing their flawed selves and the power they've gained from working together, even in Feng's case, might just resolidify their resolve.
Remember, everyone did work together at the end of the last loop, even if it came too late.

Reading this for the 3rd or 4th time in past decade and a half. This is one of my favourite manga that I always forget about. Its so personal that it never comes up in conversations with people about manga, i never think about it when recommending people manga, i never think about it when I am thinking about manga i have read over the years. But every once in a while I remember YKK and when I read it, I feel like I am still reading it for the first time. Alpha's character and how she matures as a person over the series, the people around her and how they grow and age, the little mysteries of this post apocalyptic world and the sheer beauty of the world in this manga even in decay, I find myself lost in some strange nostalgia that I simply cannot describe or relate to anything in my life but I still feel it so strongly.

Hm, this is very good, a strong start with a developing relationship between two well-written characters, but after that beginning it focuses a lot more on the drama between the 2 bands and the supporting characters and sidelines the romance between the protagonists in favor of the drama. That isn't necessarily a bad thing, it's just that I'm not overly fond of that choice
