Born into a family with shamanic traditions, Sunbi has inherited the ability to see and communicate with spirits from her grandmother, a renowned shaman who safeguarded their small fishing village by the South Sea. As a young child, Sunbi witnesses supernatural events, like a dishonest shaman being punished by a sea dragon. Not realizing that her schoolmates cannot see these occurrences, she becomes feared and isolated. Her unique powers also draw the unwanted attention of pleasure-seeking demons, even at a young age.
For a long time, Sunbi is shielded from fully understanding the extent of her abilities. Eventually, she uncovers the truth behind her mother's death and why her grandmother could never leave their village.

Since Asa never had the means to "hide" from her trauma, she arguably has the better knowledge on how to speak with Denji on facing it and how to move forward. Kinda sad how Pochita's method of protecting Denji from his trauma did more harm than good, he meant well but it does show how a Devil can easily miss the point on how to understand and help a human.
That finally shot!! I'm sure this is a flashback, and might be the kind of recalling Denji needs to finally start moving on. I know Pochita meant well in eating Devils who were connected to things that upset Denji, but our boy needs to heal proper.
