I have no idea how Melie will go now. Even with her "instability" because of her infection, from what we saw of her past, her character still is someone who cares.

Her infection isn't as simple as I thought before, there is more to it, the change in personality, and her thought process isn't so easy to understand anymore. I don't think what Ocoho did was wrong, it was necessary, it was do or die, but emotions aren't logical, and Melie's situation rules are still unknown.

She will come back... I hope she will come back, but I know too that her friend won't give up on her, now more than ever she needs them.
