In the year 300X, Earth is terrorized by the evil Maruhage Empire, which will stop at nothing to rid the entire population of their hair. But now, one afro-wearing man stands his way. He has the ability to communicate with other people's hair and use his own nasal hair to defeat the Maruhage Empire's bald henchmen. His name: Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo. Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo was published in English by VIZ Media starting with a compilation volume under its Shonen Jump Advanced imprint featuring chapters from volumes 9 and 10, which was released on November 5, 2005. After serialization in the US edition of Shonen Jump began in July 2007, publication of the manga started at volume 11, but were re-labeled as volume 1 from August 5, 2008, to October 5, 2010, for five volumes, ending at volume 15. It was also published in Spanish by Planeta Cómic from November 2007 to May 2011; and in Italian by Planeta DeAgostini Comics from November 9, 2007, to May 8, 2011.
