@Hobonohomo The only other manga I know of that's like this has the MC do exactly what you just described. The first thing he does is try to change his public image and attempts to get in better physical shape through diet and exercise.

I agree the depiction is a bit over the top, but I think it's on purpose. This way you empathise more with a person that was born in a "wrong" body and is doing her best to fit in and find her own happiness

Very cute, it's actually got quite the deep story. The story was never meant to be fully serious, is it? Characters are cute and lovable, I like how they fully embraced the concept of no rights and wrongs, simply differing ideologies. I like it, I rate it Fuko out 10. Fuko best character FU-
