I truly enjoyed this manga. In fact, it's my absolute favorite without a doubt. It has a serious plot interspersed with humorous moments, beautiful illustrations, and well-developed characters. The girls are intelligent, and the situations depicted feel genuine. There's also a lovely love story between a girl and a boy.

Their parents are in love, so they have to live together, but this isn't your typical story filled with silly characters and absurd scenarios. You'll find yourself loving the characters ^_^

Is there drama in the story? Just a little bit.

Apologies for my English; it's not very good :'(

This manga remains excellent even after reading it many years later. The reason is that all the situations depicted feel very plausible in real life. Unlike other Shoujo manga, this author didn't overly romanticize or sugarcoat events. Instead, the focus was on realism, particularly in how the characters react and behave, which is what made me appreciate the manga over time.

The final chapters beautifully illustrated the characters' growth, something I appreciated as they seemed to resolve their issues throughout the story. I'd give it an extra point because I absolutely loved the last chapter, which gave a glimpse into their future lives. Overall, I'd rate this manga a solid 9/10.

For starters, I genuinely believe this scenario could easily unfold in real life. However, the author's unique storytelling approach makes it stand out. I recommend this manga to anyone intrigued by forbidden love.

I found both the beginning and, particularly, the ending somewhat rushed. While the character introductions were adequate, their development felt too swift. The conclusion left several gaps, and much more could have been added to enrich the narrative. Nonetheless, don't let these shortcomings deter you from experiencing it yourself.

Story: It was a fairly typical shoujo manga story, but if you're into that genre, you'll probably enjoy it. For me, though, it felt somewhat depressing overall, which oddly lent it an air of authenticity.

Art: Everyone looked too similar for my liking, but otherwise, the artwork was quite good. The extra pages were especially impressive, featuring intricately designed clothing, unlike the relatively simple art in the main manga.

Character: The main characters fit the usual shoujo boy and girl archetypes. While not overly developed, their personalities become somewhat predictable after a while. Side characters lacked depth. Perhaps character development was hard to discern due to translation issues.

Enjoyment/Overall: I rated this an 8 because I genuinely enjoyed reading most of "The Devil Does Exist." Forbidden love can be compelling, and the ending moved me deeply. I'm still feeling emotional about it. Overall, I give it a 7 because it's a nice, quick series to read in a day, but it certainly isn't a masterpiece.

    ***Story:***
I really enjoyed the story because it revolves around a girl who is overly concerned about her enemies. She could easily be labeled as naive, always looking out for people who are against her and aiding her rivals. This makes the main plot more intriguing and highlights the unique "brotherly love" narrative among countless others.

The question "who is the devil here?" throughout the story adds an extra layer of spice.

I also appreciated the doubt woven into their feelings and the overall atmosphere of the story.

It's just unfortunate that the beginning is too rushed: the male lead's personality changes in an instant, as do the female lead's emotions. For a character with her personality (which also changes rapidly), it feels unrealistic to resolve such intense love in just a few minutes.

Another drawback is the story's allure. A good story should keep you up all night until you finish it, leaving you satisfied yet wanting more. But I missed this captivating quality here. It's comfortable, but still...

At times, it feels like a series of individual episodes from someone's life rather than a cohesive narrative. It gives off a slightly disjointed impression.

    ***Art:***
Regarding the art... At first glance, it lacks the spirit we typically appreciate in manga, but once you get used to it, you'll find it has a truly interesting style. It possesses its own, somewhat bizarre living soul.

I can't help it: all the boys are drawn so damn cutely and hot like this :) *innocent look* (you almost want to eat them up XD) but sometimes the girls feel like strange dolls or super-cute babies – it's kinda creepy, ya know...

Even though I've decided the drawings are good, the style itself (panels, effects, emotions, decorations, etc.) isn't that impressive. The author might be better suited as an artist than a comic maker in this case...

    ***Other:***
I'd also like to mention that the "image" of characters included in the manga scores points for originality. Even though their clothing is simple and not very easy on the eyes, it draws attention. The best part of their styles are their hairstyles – they are genuinely delicate.

I just don't understand the recurring mushrooms in the manga. I get that it's some kind of signature, but it doesn't add much value.

I think I can say I enjoyed reading this manga, but not consistently. I welcomed the mangaka's great ideas in every part, but I believe she didn't give it her all.

I would recommend it to anyone who loves stories about incest or forbidden love as much as I do, and to those who want to be absorbed by an interesting (not just) love story that they can read in their free time without needing a quick resolution or high artistic quality. If you're like me, you'd always be disappointed that you couldn't finish your book/comic, and this series offers a story that grabs you without stressing over such issues...

This manga is worth your attention (considering its occasional deep thoughts and original aesthetics) and at least partially reading (I don't recommend starting from the very beginning).

After 15 years, I decided to revisit Akuma de Soro purely out of nostalgia.

I first read it in high school, a time when social media was nonexistent and magazines were the only way to find people to discuss anything with.

Returning to this manga felt like traveling back in time, reminding me of many things, especially Hyde, the renowned celebrity who tragically took his life too early, inspiring the character Takeru. It's fascinating how some exceptional artists continue to live on through various forms of media. Gone but never forgotten.

I initially thought that reading Akuma de Soro now would not hold up over time. As a Shojo manga, I expected it to be drawn out, cringe-worthy, and overly sentimental at times. However, it did the complete opposite for me. It explored a variety of topics, primarily family and love, in an intelligent manner that never felt dull. Additionally, it truly moved me to tears. There will be numerous moments in our lives where, even as adults, we have to make choices, and regardless of the outcome, we must do our best.

Takeru is an incredibly well-developed male character with a multifaceted personality and the wardrobe of a millionaire! After all, he does come from a wealthy family.

Kayano starts off somewhat weak but eventually becomes strong and confident. I thoroughly enjoyed how she was the only one who could stand up to Takeru.

But Mamoru, Takeru’s father, deserves special mention. The genuine love he has for his family and son brought a smile to my face.

Overall, this is an extremely wholesome story that I would recommend to anyone who enjoys shoujo manga. Yes, some themes might be a bit outlandish, but they are treated with respect and work perfectly within this story.

I would love to give it more stars, but I'm giving it an 8.5 because it didn't provide the same catharsis as other stories I've read. Nevertheless, it remains an excellent read.

Where do I even begin? I purchased this anime solely because I liked the title (I know, it's lame). After breezing through the first book, I went back to the manga store and bought the next four. It's worth mentioning that I absolutely detest reading. Yet there I was, devouring these mangas like they were candy. Anyway, I quickly finished the next four and found myself craving more. Naturally, I returned and bought out the rest of the series. I swear, I just couldn't put the manga down. This is the only series I own in its entirety, and probably the only one I ever will. It was simply that good. I laughed, cheered, and cried. Absolutely worth every pretty penny.

Story: The narrative was crafted beautifully. The author managed to make it incredibly lifelike; I could vividly imagine the events unfolding in reality due to the abundant details and insights into the characters' emotions. The scenarios presented were also excellent, maintaining a sense of realism throughout. This was unlike anything I had encountered before, making it both original and highly enjoyable.

Art: The illustrations were well-executed as well; the characters were distinct from one another, and the backgrounds were stunning. Everything depicted could easily be imagined in real life. However, there were moments when a couple of characters appeared too similar, which slightly bothered me. Despite this minor issue, the artwork was commendable.

Character: This aspect was undoubtedly the highlight of the story for me. I thoroughly enjoyed witnessing the characters' growth! Particularly, the evolving relationship between Takeru and Kayano was captivating, although it felt somewhat rushed initially with how quickly Kayano developed feelings for Takeru. Nevertheless, the pacing improved afterward, in my view.

Enjoyment: I genuinely relished reading this piece, though I must admit, I cried more than I expected—blame it on Kayano's frequent tears in the story. It was quite touching, albeit a bit overwhelming at times.

Overall: I can't envision the story being written any better. It was an outstanding read from start to finish.
