Edowaga Takeru is the central male protagonist in this series. Initially, he appears as a troublemaker accustomed to having his way due to his father being the school principal. Consequently, teachers hesitate to confront him, allowing him to fulfill his every desire by any means necessary. Handsome and popular, he earns the title "Prince of Attraction" from his female admirers. His class is chaotic, filled with an odd bunch forming his gang.
As the manga unfolds, we discover a gentler side to him. He fiercely protects and cherishes those close to him. Highly perceptive, he understands others' pain and knows how to help them. Occasionally childish, like wanting Kayano to hold his hand while sleeping, he balances this with immense pride. No one can scold or mock him, except for Kayano. Rarely admitting fault, he prefers showing his innocence over confessing mistakes. Direct in speech, he avoids beating around the bush, expressing his feelings straightforwardly.
In middle school, Takeru frequently fought but often did so to protect others. Reliable, his followers admire and respect him deeply. However, he has never learned to depend on anyone else, keeping his struggles to himself to avoid burdening others. Outwardly confident and composed, he harbors insecurities stemming from a neglected childhood, growing up largely alone due to his busy parents. Meeting him, these scars are evident until he gradually begins to open up.
As the eldest son, Takeru is expected to take over the school after his father's retirement—a responsibility he dreads. Despite reservations about becoming a principal, he acknowledges his duty. Overall, Takeru is a complex character, unpredictable yet kind-hearted, instinctively looking out for everyone. Handsome and endearing, he eventually reveals deep affection for Kayano, marrying her five years later.
