You can blame that on the fact the group doing this series dropped it. A group only recently picked it back up in November, Stop being a fucking retard.
So aside from the comment made by people desperate to touch something but haven't realized Grass exists, the MC's decisions are truly puzzling sometimes.
"I don't want to marry my sister." - Alright cool, I get that. So you're gonna confront your family and- oh he ran away. Alright that still works I guess.
"I must keep my power level secret!" - But why? Isn't your ultimate purpose to study more magic? Wouldn't someone of a HIGHER authority be able to research MORE things?
"I don't want to be bothered" - Bothered by what? Other people? You can accept or reject requests as you wish, no one is forcing you to work with other people. Besides, you're getting bothered so much as it is because people are looking down on you and you refuse to correct them.
The "story" explanation is that he doesn't want to because he's a magic obsessed bum. The Meta reason is because this is an isekai and the author figured these traits were staples to have in your MC.
what happened to the kingdom? what's next of evan? how does the whole thing become, now that the magic is gone? so many of the story left unanswered, it's just disappointing
